Droid
The Droid was the first cabinet built for Death By Audio in 2010. It was originally built as a MAME cabinet, but has gone on to feature games such as Niddhog, Foiled!, Nothing Good Can Come of This, Filthy Kitchen, and Super Sharp Birds.
The Cabinet
The Droid was built in 2010 as a MAME cabinet by Mark Kleeb and Alex Bellows for the intended purpose of living in the Death By Audio music venue. For about one year it ran classic arcade games like Altered Beast, The Simpsons and X-Men. In 2011, Mark met the organizers of Babycastles, and the Droid was renovated to run indie games like Pole Riders and Niddhogg. Eventually, it was used to showcase other games by local NYC devs like Foiled!, Nothing Good Can Come of This, Filthy Kitchen, and Super Sharp Birds.
Availability
The Droid currently resides at Williamsburg performance arts venue Cloud City where it is either running Filthy Kitchen or Super Sharp Birds depending on the day.
